I'm back again, and unfortunately sad to say this will not be my Black Hair post. This post is a little more personal. Today something occurred to me that, what I life to call, "burned my butt". This girl, an acquaintance points out that she doesn't necessarily like my headscarf [I'll try to post a picture], of course those not being her exact words. Anyway when I first heard her comments, I had half the heart to slap them from her cerebral cortex BUT in better judgment shook it off. But then this girl continue to repeat the same things over and over, moving locations for better reactions. Still, I remained strong and didn't say anything out of line. My question is why must we as humans feel that the world revolves around us? I admit I have to catch myself doing it to but why can't my style and my life be just that. I mean, man... I digress. I'm going back to work, so again look out for my Black Hair series coming soon.
Love
XOXO,
Jai

Negativity Shall Not Dwell In This House...
Today I feel like ranting. Okay, so for those few of you who read my blog posts: have any of you ever had someone in your lives that were so destructive and tedious to deal with, yet at the same time you really had no option or say in them being present in your live? I hope that made some sense. Anyway I just wanted to voice my opinion on negative people.
Now a days I absolutely refuse to deal with negative people. I don't like them nor do I appreciate them or their efforts. If I somehow come in contact with you and I sense that you are a negative person, I'll try my darnest to immediately cut ties with you.
I have lived with negativity for the last seventeen years and it wasn't until recently that I realized that every negative word or thought that person has had has somehow shaped my own cognitive lifestyle. And I refuse to confine myself to the thoughts of others. So my advice to anyone fighting for the courage of living a positive life, do not allow ANYONE's negativity to interfere with your way of living. People who truly love you will find some way of positive reinforcement. I don't care if it's your own mother. DO NOT live and dwell with negativity. If you are forced to live with it physically then please do whatever to ensure you don't allow it to poison your heart. NEGATIVE THINGS COME TO A NEGATIVE END, BUT A POSITIVE THINGS CONTINUE THEIR POSITIVE LEGACY.
That's all for now. I'll be back soon with a discussion about black hair.
Love
XOXO,
Jai
[Ironic note: as I'm writing this a very negative co-worker is bugging the heck out of me. But I don't have to start my shift until eight minutes from now so she'll just have to keep talking to brick.]

Well, well, well...
Wow, so it's been a long minute? What a shame!! But I'm back and I can honestly say I'm new and improved.
This year has been a trying time for me. Not as trying as previous years but this year has definitely thrown me into a confounded state at times (get up on ya vocab partna'). I've finally come to terms what I live for and I've (unfortunately) had to leave many behind. But it's always been a get with it or get lost type of situation. Lol. All in all I'm happy. I do have my times of slip-ups and back steps but I get back in the right lane and try to keep it pushing. So far I've been rather successful.
I've gotten back to my artistic roots. I've been writing more poetry and songs. I may even post a few.
I just decided for the few who may read my blog, it was my responsibility to let you all know I'm stay alive, well, and blessed. Yall should keep it that way, as well -- until next time. Stay encouraged!
