2012 Hair Goals

Yes, it is that time again. New year, new me.. new resolutions I'm hoping to keep. So I think I might as well go ahead and map out the game plan for this big, scary 2012 year (okay, maybe it's not exactly scary but it is seemingly excited).

So let's talk hair goals.. Currently the back of my hair is a past SL (shoulder length) near my last year's goal of APL (armpit length). However the front of my hair reaches the bridge of my nose and my sides reach my jaw. I am very impressed with my hair growth seeing as this past summer I cut several inches of damaged ends off and attempted to even out my length. My hair is a lot stronger now and a lot healthier. So my goal now is to retain that health and retain my length. 2012 will be the year I reach APL. Here is what I plan to accomplish:

1. Back of hair: Full APL. I need about 2-3.5 inches. May 2012
Sides of hair: Full SL. I need about 3 inches. May 2012
Front of hair: Jaw Length. I need about 3-4 inches. June 2012

After I reach those hair goals I will reassess and then update my goals, if necessary. Ultimately, I want to reach either MBL (mid-back length) or WL (waist length) when my hair is straightened or stretched and SL or APL when my hair is its natural state.

Personal Goals to Help Stimulate Growth:
Vitamin Intake (Pre-Natals, Biotin, etc.)
Protective Styling
Constant Moisturizing

What has worked for me in the past:
Protective Styling
ACV treatments
Protein treatments

I don't think my goals are too ambitious or out of reach. I think if I focus and stay on task I can accomplish my goals and have beautiful, happy, healthy, and LONG natural hair. I'm really excited! I hope all of you Queens and Kings out there are making goals for your happy growing.

Stay tuned for Hair Updates!
